About the Position

Job Title

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room

Location

Springfield, OR | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room including the sterile field, surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions prior to procedures
Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon during procedures while maintaining sterile technique
Simultaneously manage the sterile field and surgical specimens throughout each case
Perform counts of sponges and supplies to prevent foreign retained objects
May be required to float to Sterile Processing or the inpatient floor as a sitter when OR volume is low

Required Qualifications

Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited or other programmatically-accredited surgical technology program
Minimum of 2 years of surgical technologist experience
Prior travel assignment experience required
Must not be local to the facility — local candidates will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience floating to Sterile Processing departments
Comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-room OR environment
Demonstrated ability to manage on-call responsibilities effectively
