Key Responsibilities

• Review prior authorization requests for clinical appropriateness, medical necessity, and plan criteria.
• Apply evidence-based guidelines, formulary rules, and regulatory standards to approve or deny requests.
• Communicate clear determinations to providers and members with professional documentation.
• Collaborate with medical directors and clinical teams on complex or high-cost cases.
• Document all decisions in compliance with CMS, state, and health-plan requirements.
• Support process improvements that reduce turnaround times and improve member experience.

What You'll Bring

• Education: PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted U.S. pharmacist license (multi-state preferred but not required).
• Experience: Hospital, ambulatory, community, or any clinical pharmacy background is highly valued. New graduates and career changers are encouraged to apply.
• Skills: Strong clinical judgment, clear written communication, comfort with criteria-based review, and attention to detail.
